Dr. Wangari Karua is a Medical Doctor with Doctoral training in Business Administration -Finance and Master's training in Public Health and in Organizational Development. She is also a Clinical Leadership fellow of the Joanna Briggs Institute at Adelaide University.
Wangari is a member of the Industrial Property Tribunal in Kenya, Trustee of Africa's Voices Foundation, Expert Committee Member at Pharmacy and Poisons Board and a member of the Global advisory committee of Tech Care for All. She previously served as a member of the Global Access to Medicine Index Expert Review Committee.
Wangari has over 15 years of experience in healthcare industry in Africa having worked in Clinical Services, Medical Insurance, Consultancy, Pharmaceutical Industry and NGO-Social Enterprises space.
A mother of two Wangari is passionate about mentorship of women in leadership and achievement of SDGs through entrepreneurship, gender transformative leadership and sound governance.
